On May 10th, the BYD Sea Lion 07EV was officially launched with a price range of 18.98-23.98 million yuan, and relevant car purchase benefits were announced. The first model of the “Sea Lion” IP continues the consistent design sense of the Ocean Network. The official definition is “medium-sized urban smart electric SUV”; the new car is also the first model of the BYD e-platform 3.0 Evo. Let’s take a look at the highlights of the new car.
The appearance continues to be crafted by the design team led by Wolfgang Egger, continuing the design of the Ocean X concept car, with a strong maritime family atmosphere and a sporty vibe, with X-shaped front face equipped with the iconic headlight group of the maritime family. The body size is 4830/1925/1620mm, with a wheelbase of 2930mm.
The interior features a floating T-shaped center console design with a 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display and adaptive floating PAD. The intelligent cockpit high-end version – DiLink 100, UI interface clean and simple easy to use. In addition to basic car networking applications, expandable application stores, also supports more advanced continuous voice recognition, OTA online upgrades and other advanced functions.
The new car is equipped with the self-developed “God’s Eye” advanced intelligent driving assistance system, DiPilot 100, which includes 12 ultrasonic radars, 5 millimeter wave radars, and 11 cameras. In addition to mainstream advanced driving assistance features such as lane change by lever, it also has full-scene intelligent driving navigation function. It can automatically enter and exit ramps, autonomously change lanes/overtake, keep the lane centered, intelligently control speed limits, and intelligently select ramps.
The new car features a high-efficiency twelve-in-one intelligent electric drive system, the highest speed motor in global production. The two-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 170kW/230kW, with a range of 550km and 610km; the four-wheel drive version has a combined power of 390kW, with a range of 550km.
