On May 13, 2024, the Zhiji L6 was officially launched, the fourth model of the Zhiji brand, positioned as a mid-size sedan. It features a family-style design both inside and out, with the new generation IMOS 3.0 and all-new electronic architecture, powered by NVIDIA OrinX+ and Qualcomm SA8295P flagship chips. It offers single and dual motor versions, with power ranging from 216kW to 379kW, equipped with 90kWh and 100kWh batteries, and the first to use production-ready 900V ultra-fast charging solid-state batteries. The chassis is equipped with the agile digital chassis. There are 5 models available, priced from 219,900 to 345,900 yuan (47920$), starting from 199,900 yuan (27690$) after on-market benefits. The overall style of the Zhi Ji L6 continues from the Zhi Ji LS6, like a flattened LS6 with a strong sense of technology and original design elements. The front face adopts a minimalist design style, with only a few lines outlining the structure, the LED light source of the headlights creating a sporty look, the C-shaped fog lamp area bringing a large mouth style, the protruding lower lip showing a dynamic style, and the large closed grille in the middle fitting its identity as a new energy vehicle.
The side of the car features a unique tapered design with narrow windows and large doors, giving it a sense of flow. It also has frameless doors and pop-out hidden door handles, with double-layer laminated glass for better sound insulation. The car measures 4931/1960/1474mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm, positioning it as a midsize sedan.
The sloping roofline of the car creates a very compact visual effect at the rear, with detailed treatment adding depth. The distinctive concave and convex lines match the identity characteristics of the coupe model, making the effect more exaggerated. The high-mounted through-type taillights remain one of the biggest highlights, complementing the sculptural rear styling. The visual features of this set of lights are more three-dimensional, with the upward design in the middle appearing more aggressive and integrated with the raised trunk. Paired with the small ducktail spoiler, they jointly display a stronger sporty vibe.
The interior of the Zhiji L6 continues the family design style, featuring an “Italian light luxury cabin” with minimal curves. The 42-inch suspended large screen on the center console has a strong visual impact. The vertical functional control screen below includes air conditioning controls, adding practicality without sacrificing design. The cabin uses a large area of leather, soft materials, and chrome trim to enhance the interior’s exquisite and luxurious feel. The interior also features Microtouch geometric wood grain decorative panels, with a choice of white show or gray prelude interior color schemes available.
In terms of car system, the new vehicle is equipped with the smart IMOS system, powered by Qualcomm 8295 chip. The system is fast and mainstream, featuring 360° panoramic view, vehicle settings, multimedia, and air conditioning adjustments all through the screen.
The L6 is equipped with the automotive industry’s first DZT virtual and real space dynamic area tracking technology. The L6 integrates real-time images of the interior and exterior mirrors on the “full-frame digital cockpit screen,” with blind spot assistance and rain night mode, achieving real-time tracking and highlighting of traffic danger information to help drivers assess road conditions. Thanks to the comprehensive empowerment of AI large models, the L6 is also the first to feature a variety of new intelligent cockpit functions, including City Drive and high-gloss moments.
The new car is equipped with the latest IMOS 3.0 and a new electronic electrical architecture, all powered by NVIDIA OrinX+ and Qualcomm SA8295P flagship chips, integrated with the S32G high-performance chip, as well as the self-developed IMAD advanced intelligent driving system, and also equipped with the self-developed in-car imaging system. The “horns” on the top are laser radar, combined with 3 ultrasonic radars, 12 millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras plus NVIDIA ORIN chips to bring it advanced intelligent driving assistance capabilities. In addition to mainstream L2 level driving assistance functions, all models have advanced NOA capabilities and support high-precision automatic parking functions.
The front and rear seats of the new car feature a one-piece design with butterfly headrests to enhance the sporty feel. The backrest angle and seat cushion length of the rear seats are very good, leaning more towards comfort. The magnetic suction interface on the seat back has been upgraded to version 2.0, supporting external hardware peripherals such as small tables, hooks, reading lights, and storage boxes.
In terms of space, the new car features a hatchback design with good loading capacity and practicality. The tailgate can open up to 69°, and the trunk volume can expand to 1290L with the rear seats folded down.
In terms of power, the new car offers single motor and dual motor versions. The single motor version has a maximum power of 216kW, while the dual motor versions have maximum powers of 200kW and 379kW. The acceleration from 0-100km/h is under 3 seconds. For the battery, the new car will come with 90kWh and 100kWh batteries, with ranges of 650/710/850/780km. It is worth mentioning that the Zhiji L6 will be the first to use the mass-produced 900V light-year ultra-fast charging solid-state battery. Its CLTC pure electric range will exceed 1000km, with a peak charging power of 400kW and a 12-minute range increase of 400km.
In terms of chassis, the new car is equipped with front double wishbone + rear multi-link suspension, using self-developed Gecko digital chassis technology, coordinating rear wheel steering, intelligent electronic control shock absorbers, air suspension, electric drive and other advanced chassis hardware to achieve vehicle X, Y, Z three-way six-degree-of-freedom body attitude coordination control, becoming the first domestic car that can “drive sideways”, and having road-hugging, narrow road turning, intelligent parking and other complex travel scenarios, the official claims it can make the vehicle achieve almost no swaying, no leaning driving state, and even better comfortable braking experience.
