On May 21, the Chery Fengyun T9 was officially launched. The new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, targeting young family members. It is equipped with the Kunpeng Super C-DM hybrid system. It also comes with L2+ level intelligent driving assistance and a 15.6-inch central control screen. The new car is available in 4 models, priced from 12.99 to 16.99 million yuan.
In terms of appearance, the Chery Fengyun T9 continues the family design style. As a representative of Chery’s new energy vehicles, it does not use a conventional grille, but a fully enclosed design with vertical decorations, giving it a futuristic feel. In terms of lighting, the new car has traditional headlights that are small but lively. The front bumper exudes power and style, while the side air vents are popular with many young consumers. To ensure air intake, there is a hidden grille in the middle of the front bumper without affecting the overall look of the car.
In terms of body size, the new car measures 4795x1930x1738mm with a wheelbase of 2770mm. It is positioned as a mid-size SUV and available in five-seater and seven-seater versions for consumers to choose from. The Chery Fengyun T9’s side profile design is simple and stylish, suitable for family use. The new car will feature hidden door handles and come with 20-inch wheels, giving it a unique luxurious presence. The large wheels will also improve the car’s off-road capability and comfort. The rear window has a tightened design, adding to the overall dynamic feel of the car.
The design of the rear end looks more rounded and full, using a through-type taillight group shape, creating a multi-dimensional stereo effect through the combination of lines at multiple angles. The Chery Fengyun T9 features a minimalist interior design with almost no physical buttons. Most functions are integrated into the 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The new car will use a rotary gear shift to save space for the central aisle. The flat-bottomed sports steering wheel has a dual-color mix and excellent tactile performance. The multifunction buttons are touch screen-based, adding a strong sense of technology. The overall space of the rear row is very satisfying, the backrest angle and seat cushion length of the rear seats are very suitable for the needs of Chinese users, and the second-row seats of the car also use electric adjustment, even the comfortable boarding function is equipped on the second-row seats, indeed luxurious enough.
The car will offer five and seven seat models for customers to choose from. When the third row seats are opened, the seating space is adequate and there is storage space in the trunk. In addition, the car is equipped with one-touch folding for the second and third rows, and provides 12 seating combinations to meet various consumer needs.
In terms of power, the new car uses a plug-in hybrid system, equipped with a 1.5T hybrid engine, with a maximum power of 115kW and peak torque of 220N·m. The 120km long-range version system has a combined maximum power of 265kW and a combined maximum torque of 530Nm. The 200km ultra-long-range version system has a maximum power of 280kW, a maximum torque of 610Nm, and a comprehensive range of over 1400km, with WLTC electricity consumption of 5.2L per 100km.
