On June 1, 2024, the 100,000th production car of the Deep Blue S7 rolled off the production line at the Deep Blue Nanjing Smart Factory. The car was officially launched on June 25, 2023, and deliveries began on June 30, with over 10,000 deliveries in just 5 days. Within 5 months, 50,000 deliveries were achieved, and less than a year later, 100,000 production cars were rolled off the line.
Nanjing Chang’an Factory is a new energy intelligent personalized custom demonstration factory, integrating flexible, intelligent, automated, digital, green, and efficient production technologies, giving Deep Blue S7 strong manufacturing quality.
The factory plans to produce 200,000 vehicles per year and develop new energy vehicles such as pure electric and extended-range electric vehicles. It has five major workshops: stamping, body, painting, assembly, and battery. It integrates intelligence, automation, and high efficiency, with four major features of new energy, intelligence, personalized customization, and net zero carbon.
The Deep Blue S7 is the first SUV model of Deep Blue Motors, positioned as a mid-size SUV. The Deep Blue S7 is currently available in 11 models, with prices ranging from 14.99 to 21.79 million yuan. In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a family-style closed grille design, and the split-type headlight assembly not only increases the overall sense of hierarchy, but also looks more dynamic and stylish.
The car features a sleek and sporty design on the side profile, with hidden door handles and frameless doors to appeal to young consumers. The car’s dimensions are 4750X1930X1625mm with a wheelbase of 2900mm. The rear end has a sloping design with muscular rear wheel arches for a youthful and sporty look. The continuous taillights and illuminated logo are trendy design elements.
The interior features a wrap-around cockpit design with elements inspired by yachts. The sunflower center screen can adjust angles and has high clarity. The interior is decorated in brown and black with silver accents, giving a luxurious feel.
In terms of intelligent configuration, the car’s central control panel is equipped with a 15.6-inch sunflower screen, using infinite gear floating screen technology, which can rotate up to 15° to the left/back for easy operation by the driver and co-driver. In terms of functions, the screen is built with the latest intelligent interaction system, featuring voice interaction, APP download, online entertainment, online maps, phone connectivity, remote control, and OTA upgrade functions, supporting 12 smart recognition modes and visible voice interaction. With the 8155 car-grade chip, it provides a smooth and intelligent operating experience.
The Deep Blue S7 is equipped with a “queen co-pilot” seat, a zero-gravity integrated seat that is multi-directionally adjustable, with an extra-long electric leg rest, heating/ventilation/massage functions. Additionally, the S7 also features a 12.3-inch entertainment screen embedded in the traditional makeup mirror position, supporting voice and exclusive button one-touch control adjustment, with the ability to achieve 0-135° large angle rotation adjustment.
In terms of safety configuration, the Deep Blue S7 is equipped with the NID3.0 Navigation Intelligent Driving Assistance System. The front of the car is equipped with millimeter wave radar and a camera integrated into the top inner side of the windshield. It also has parking radar and sensors. The car has mainstream advanced intelligent driving functions such as IACC, lane centering maintenance, and intelligent deviation. It also has advanced auxiliary driving capabilities such as APA remote valet parking and navigation assisted driving from point A to point B.
In terms of power, the Deep Blue S7 is equipped with two powertrain options: pure electric and range-extender. The pure electric model will have two electric motors with maximum power of 160kW and 190kW, with the high-power version accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. In terms of range, the new car will offer two options: 520km and 620km under CLTC conditions. Additionally, the range-extender version of the Deep Blue S7 will be equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine as a range extender, with a maximum power of 70kW for the extender and 175kW for the electric motor. Fuel consumption is as low as 4.95L/100km, with an acceleration time of 7.6 seconds for every 100 km. For the battery, it is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a pure electric range of 121km and 200km under CLTC conditions. The combined range with a full tank and full charge is 1040km and 1120km respectively.
At the same time, Deep Blue Auto announced that it delivered a total of 14,371 new cars in May. In addition, according to Deep Blue Auto’s product plan, the new energy hardcore SUV new species – Deep Blue G318 and the all-new compact SUV – Deep Blue S05 will also be officially launched soon, forming a richer product matrix to promote sales growth.
