On May 30, Geely officially launched the “Galaxy Flyme Auto” smart cockpit system jointly created with Xingji Meizu, and also released the industry’s first AI smart sound system – “Flyme Sound Unbounded Sound” in collaboration with Flyme Sound Inside. According to reports, they will be applied to Geely’s new products and customized according to different car model requirements.
For smart cockpits, the performance of hardware, especially the on-board chip, determines the foundation of intelligent interaction. Geely independently developed and mass-produced the first 7nm automotive-grade cockpit chip in China, the “Dragon Eagle 1”, which has an 8-core CPU, 14-core GPU, AI power twice that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, supports 2.5K HD video playback, and has the ability to continuously expand higher-level AI applications. With the support of the self-developed chip, the Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit system has a rich Alive Design with scene space, multi-form desktop, Dock menu, supports gesture interaction, Smart Bar, intelligent voice, and other all-round intelligent interaction methods, can achieve seamless cross-terminal interconnection between the car and the phone through Flyme Link, unlocking functions such as application circulation, application relay, phone small window projection, parallel windows, hardware sharing, etc.
Flyme Sound breaks through in hardware parameters, software algorithms, content ecosystem, cabin environment, and development system. It uses 9.1.6 surround sound layout with 6 additional sky channels, 20ch external power amplifier accommodating up to 27 speakers with a rated power of 2000W, and a low frequency down to 20Hz. It automatically optimizes sound field distribution, matches audio effects, and switches virtual venues based on cabin space, number of passengers, and content. With the release of Galaxy Flyme Auto intelligent cabin system and Flyme Sound audio system, Geely is fulfilling the “Intelligent Geely 2025” strategy, becoming the world’s first automotive company with a complete intelligent technology ecosystem including cars, chips, satellites, aircraft, phones, and AI models.
