Recently, the official TSN released a set of interior official images of its flagship SUV, the Leopard 8, continuing the family design language and achieving a good balance between toughness and technology. In addition, as the flagship model, the new car also offers two layouts: 6 seats and 7 seats. Positioned in the 500,000-level market, it is expected to be launched after the third quarter of 2024.
In terms of interior, the Leopard 8 is designed based on the concept of “future starship aesthetics,” matching the dignified appearance with a tough flagship presence. Features include a flat-bottomed four-spoke steering wheel, lock-buckle designed air conditioning vents, key-shaped armrest, and futuristic electronic gear lever with strong family elements. In addition to the full LCD instrument panel, passenger entertainment screen, and multimedia screen, the rear of the central armrest is also equipped with two independent touch screens for better intelligent enjoyment for front and rear passengers.
In terms of materials, the official images show the car with dual-tone interior colors, wood grain decorations on the center console, and suede material on the ceiling, creating a visual and tactile enjoyment.
In terms of space, the Leopard 8 adopts a three-row seating layout design, with options for 6/7 seats. The six-seat version features independent seats in the rear row, along with electrically adjustable seats for a more comfortable journey.
The seven-seat version features a seamless design for the rear row, providing a more comfortable experience. The seats can be adjusted for extra space.
Looking at the exterior, the design of the Leopard 8 is very aggressive, with a strong SUV style. The square shape is very recognizable, and the grille design is more robust. The body lines of the Leopard 8 are strong and straight, with hidden door handles.
The new car is equipped with a 2.0T DMO power system and Yunnei-P intelligent hydraulic body control system. The Leopard 8 features a high-power engine, dedicated CTC battery, and dedicated off-road rear drive assembly. It has an integrated electronic differential lock and can achieve a maximum 21-speed ratio in low-speed off-road mode. The rear motor has a peak power of 285kW and peak torque of 400N·m. The new car will also have a maximum suspension adjustment travel of 140mm, 6kW vehicle-to-vehicle charging, and 20kW on-site charging function. In addition, it will be equipped with an advanced intelligent driving system, which will cover urban and highway autonomous driving scenarios in the future.
