On June 30, Great Wall Motors Chairman Wei Jianjun personally drove the WEY Blue Mountain Intelligent Driving Edition and demonstrated the full-scene NOA intelligent driving system on busy and complex roads in Chongqing through live video broadcast.
Chongqing, known as the “mountain city”, poses a tough challenge for NOA system testing with its complex terrain and diverse roads. The testing route covers approximately 35 kilometers, spanning three major districts. The NOA system, powered by the SEE model, handles various road conditions with ease during live testing. SEE integrates perception, decision-making, and control, allowing the model to learn driving behavior directly through deep learning technology.

This is what Great Wall Motors has always insisted on doing.” The Panlong Interchange Bridge, as the largest and most complex interchange bridge in the main city of Chongqing, includes 5 levels, 8 directions, and 20 ramps. In the live broadcast, it can be seen that the Great Wall NOA system successfully identifies the ramp intersection in advance and accurately plans the driving path. As the vehicle changes lanes from the main road to the auxiliary road on the right, the Great Wall NOA system monitors the oncoming traffic on the right in real time, effectively controls the safe distance, and selects the most reasonable time to change lanes. This series of operations vividly demonstrates the Great Wall NOA system’s lane selection and path planning capabilities under complex traffic conditions.
When the vehicle enters the bridge on the river, facing the peak congestion on the bridge, the Great Wall NOA system fully demonstrates its smart lane-changing strategy and game-playing ability, not only can analyze traffic flow and vehicle positions in real time, but also quickly and seamlessly complete high-difficulty lane-changing operations through precise calculations. In addition, the Great Wall NOA system can also update road conditions in real time, dynamically adjust driving strategies, and maintain smooth driving as much as possible.
After entering Yuzhong District, the Great Wall NOA system still faces challenges. The district has narrow streets and complex traffic conditions with both vehicles and pedestrians. The Great Wall NOA system performs impressively in this area, maintaining a flexible distance with the front car and able to make emergency maneuvers when encountering sudden non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians.
The Liberation Monument underground ring road is narrow, dark, with unclear lane markings, and poor communication signals. Despite these unfavorable conditions, the Longwall NOA system can accurately identify road signs and traffic lights, “imagine” lane lines, allowing vehicles to pass smoothly through this challenging section.
