On July 8, BYD launched the 2025 Dolphin, the 700,000th vehicle to roll off the production line, priced at 9.98-12.98 yuan (10$). The 2025 Dolphin comes with added features at no extra cost and improved battery life. Customers can also enjoy various benefits such as up to 14,000 yuan (1920$) in trade-in subsidies and free car insurance upon purchase.
Upgraded range, upgraded power BYD’s 2025 Dolphin models will upgrade the Knight version’s power battery pack to 60.48kWh, with a CLTC comprehensive condition pure electric range of up to 520km; the Vitality version’s power battery pack will be upgraded to 44.928kWh, with a CLTC comprehensive condition pure electric range of up to 420km, along with the 420km Freedom and Fashion versions, meeting the travel needs of different user groups. In addition, the maximum power of the 2025 Dolphin Knight version has been upgraded to 150kW, with a maximum torque of 310N·m.
BYD Dolphin is the first model created on the e-platform 3.0, featuring global design, standards, and quality. It adopts the design concept of “marine aesthetics” and is equipped with high safety blade batteries, the world’s first eight-in-one electric powertrain, standard heat pump system, and battery pack refrigerant direct cooling and heating technology. In terms of vehicle intelligence, the Dolphin uses domain control technology, runs on the BYD OS system, and has the DiLink smart networking system and DiPilot smart driving assistance system.
