On July 8, the new Mercedes-Benz CLE convertible coupe was officially launched, including the CLE 260 convertible coupe and CLE 300 4MATIC convertible coupe, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of RMB 519,800 and 596,300 yuan (81950$).
In terms of appearance, the all-new CLE convertible coupe features a long hood, short front overhang, and long rear overhang design, outlining the elegant and dynamic proportions of a luxury coupe. Choose from three fabric soft top colors: classic black, fiery red, and elegant grey to suit different preferences.
The two-tier waistline and chrome trim surrounding the passenger cabin add elegance to the sleek body. The full and sporty rear lines and new two-tier tail lights add a touch of agility to the rear.
In terms of interior, the car doors and screens feature a suspended design, along with beautiful curved shapes, creating an artistic cabin. The iconic 64-color ambient lighting system from Mercedes-Benz, combined with the Burmester® 3D surround sound system, provides an immersive audiovisual experience.
The all-new CLE convertible coupe is equipped with the third-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system, achieving powerful data processing and transmission capabilities with the Qualcomm 8295 smart cockpit chip and 5G communication technology. The third-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system features a new Amap custom navigation based on Unity’s refined 3D map rendering, achieving game-level map interface rendering, delicately reproducing real natural scenery, and providing more detailed route guidance. The upgraded “mind-reading voice assistant” supports full-scene wake-up-free, continuous voice command, and the new Android compatibility layer brings rich entertainment applications such as QQ Music, Himalaya, and Tencent Video.
When the soundproof fabric soft top of the all-new CLE convertible coupe is closed, the cabin atmosphere instantly changes from freedom to tranquility. The soft top can be opened or closed in 20 seconds when the speed does not exceed 60 kilometers per hour. To cope with direct sunlight and high temperatures, the 11.9-inch central display screen can be electrically adjusted between 15 and 40 degrees to reduce glare; leather seats with a special coating can lower the surface temperature by up to 12 degrees compared to regular leather. The standard convertible coupe comfort components enrich the exclusive functions and broaden the convertible travel scenes, allowing dreams to soar freely in the sky.
In terms of power, it is the same as the coupe version. It is equipped with a 2.0T M254 four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 190 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 400 Newton meters. The 48-volt ISG intelligent motor system provides an additional 17 kilowatts of power.
