On July 12, Audi officially released a teaser image of the new generation A5. CEO Gernot Döllner announced that the global debut of the Audi Q6 e-tron in spring marked the beginning of a new era. Audi will launch over 20 new models to the market in 2024 and 2025, with more than ten of them being electric vehicles.
Audi has updated its naming rules. Odd-numbered models will use internal combustion engines, while even-numbered models will be electrified. The upcoming A5 is an upgraded version of the current A4, not directly related to the current A5. Gernot Döllner said, “We have a clear vision of how to define ‘progress through technology,’ focusing on design, UI/UX, driving dynamics, and efficiency.”
