Recently, we learned about Jietu Auto’s new product plans. The company focuses on the Shanhai L series and the Shanhai T series for its new energy vehicles. The Shanhai L series targets urban family SUVs. The Shanhai T series aims at rugged style new energy SUVs.
In the second half of this year, the new Shan Hai T2 will launch. This A+ level plug-in hybrid SUV targets entry-level buyers. The design follows the boxy style of the Jie Tu Shan Hai T1. The front showcases a family design with a high-recognition digital light grille. The headlight chambers feature a petal shape, complemented by a light strip across the grille. This creates a distinctive look. The raised fenders enhance the vehicle’s strength. The rear echoes the front with a strong rugged style. For power, the new car will use Chery’s Kunpeng super hybrid C-DM technology. The system delivers 435KW. It includes electric four-wheel drive and a gear-type differential lock. The new car is expected to debut in September and hit the market in October.
The Shanhai T5 may launch in the third quarter of 2026. This vehicle targets the business off-road market. It features a 2.0TD engine, a 2DHT system, and four motors. The total power reaches 560KW. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The new model uses a non-bearing body. It offers 5, 6, or 7-seat layouts and includes the 8295 smart cockpit. For all-wheel drive, it has front and rear gear engagement and a central energy differential lock. According to Jietu, the pricing may exceed 300,000 yuan (41800$).
