On August 15, 2024, NIO’s new brand, Ladao, launched its first model, the L60. The L60 is a mid-size SUV built on a 900V platform. The L60 features a newly developed seat based on the “Urban Oasis” concept. It uses a ten-layer ergonomic composite structure. The vehicle includes five spacious seats, with a larger middle cushion in the back row. The new SUV measures 4828mm in length, 1930mm in width, and 1616mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. This space comfortably accommodates five passengers. Additionally, the roof includes a 1.9 square meter LowE technology skylight. It allows light in while blocking summer heat. Inside, the cabin features over 15 square meters of CareTech maternal and infant care materials. These materials are skin-friendly and hypoallergenic. The cabin has no odors. A PM 2.5 sensor monitors air quality in real time, ensuring fresh and healthy air inside.
The front center console features a wide multimedia screen. The rear has air conditioning vents with a high-definition entertainment screen. Together with Dolby Atmos, they deliver a cinema-quality audio experience.
The new car features a simple front design. It incorporates standard elements of new energy vehicles. The design includes a closed grille and split headlights. The bumper has conservative lines. Engineers added air ducts for airflow at the bumper. They also designed the windshield with a steep angle. The A-pillars and rear fender shoulder lines have a streamlined shape. The L60 features advanced visual intelligence. It comes with 30 high-performance sensors. These include one 4D imaging millimeter-wave radar with a detection range of 370 meters. It has seven high-definition cameras with a maximum range of 687 meters. The vehicle includes four starlight 360-degree surround cameras and twelve ultrasonic sensors. It supports NOA navigation assistance for highways and urban areas.
The car’s side features clean lines. It has a unique double waistline that shapes the design. This gives it a strong sense of depth. The car also includes frameless doors and hidden door handles. The ultra-narrow windows enhance its sporty appearance.
The rear design emphasizes a three-dimensional effect. The sloping roof creates a compact visual impact. The extensive use of horizontal lines gives the rear a sharp look. The design features a prominent ducktail at the top. Overall, the shape aims for a coupe SUV style.
