On August 20, Wuling Motors announced the launch of the third-generation Hongguang MINIEV 215km Youth Edition. The new car offers a range of 215km. It features standard DC fast charging and dual airbags for the driver and passenger. The official guide price is 40,800 yuan (5700$). During the launch period, Wuling provides up to 1,200 yuan (170$) in financial subsidies for the Hongguang MINIEV Youth Edition. It also offers lifetime warranty rights for the three electric systems to the first non-operational car owner. This further lowers the purchase threshold.
The third-generation Hongguang MINIEV 215km Youth Edition uses the Tianyu architecture-S platform. The new car continues the stylish and cute design of the Hongguang MINIEV family. It offers five fun two-tone colors: Milk Apricot, Light Mango Yellow, Avocado Green, White Peach Pink, and Iris Blue. The car features LED front and rear light groups, which add a modern touch when lit. Inside, it offers two styles: Milk Toffee and Brownie Black. The retro and sweet aesthetic pairs well with the houndstooth patterned fabric seats, enhancing the car’s quality.
The new car features a 17.3 kWh battery. It offers a CLTC electric range of 215 km. The car supports three charging methods: DC fast charging, AC slow charging, and home charging. It can charge from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes. It also works with standard 220V/10A home outlets. Additionally, the car includes an intelligent charging feature. This prevents the vehicle from failing to start due to a dead battery.
