Baoneng Auto recently opened multiple job positions despite facing difficulties. The company posted dozens of job openings in just one week. Positions include workshop managers, project managers, and engineers. Locations span Xi’an, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Changshu. Despite negative news about unpaid wages and factory shutdowns, Baoneng Auto continues to share updates on production and product planning. This large-scale recruitment may relate to their production plans. At the end of July, Baoneng Group’s official account, “China Baoneng,” stated that on June 30, Chairman Yao Zhenhua visited the Shenzhen factory. He discussed new model introductions with teams from business, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and management. The article also noted that since the beginning of this year, Qoros Auto has focused on resuming production of the Qoros 7 while also working on overseas markets. This is not the first instance of Baoneng Auto announcing large-scale recruitment amid wage issues and production halts. Previous reports indicated that in September last year, numerous Baoneng Auto positions appeared on third-party recruitment platforms. Baoneng Auto responded that the company always has recruitment needs, not just recent announcements.
The job location for this recruitment is the former site of Xi’an Baoneng Automobile Co., Ltd. In July last year, the Shaanxi Province Xianxi District Development and Construction Committee announced that Xi’an Baoneng Automobile Co., Ltd. failed to return its property rights certificate to the Xi’an New Area Natural Resources and Planning Bureau by the deadline. This led to the cancellation of three state-owned construction land use rights. Soon after, the land was re-listed for auction.
Interface News found that the job location in Changshu is the production plant of Qoros Auto, which was previously acquired by Baoneng. The production line auctioned in May had a starting price of 6.6477 million yuan. Shenzhen Fengyu Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. won the bid. Tianyancha shows that this company invests in several automotive sales and supply chain firms in Guangdong. On August 19, it purchased machinery and software owned by Baoneng Auto for 1.3679 million yuan. Recently, Baoneng Auto faced more negative news. Last month, Qoros Auto Co., Ltd., Wuhu Baoneng Real Estate Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Baoneng Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Baoneng Real Estate Co., Ltd. received new execution information. The execution amount exceeds 220 million yuan, with the Jinan Intermediate People’s Court handling the case. Recently, the Guangzhou Huangpu District Market Supervision Administration listed Baoneng New Energy Automobile Group Co., Ltd. in the operating abnormality directory due to “unable to contact through registered address or business premises.”
