Recently, Baojun launched its new compact SUV, the Baojun Yunhai. It rolled off the production line at SAIC-GM-Wuling’s innovative lean manufacturing island factory. The car is now available for pre-sale. It offers two versions: plug-in hybrid and pure electric, with four configurations. The pre-sale price ranges from 121,800 to 145,800 yuan (20420$). The official launch is set for September.
Starting today until the launch of the Baojun Yunhai, users can reserve the vehicle online for 2,000 yuan (280$). This reservation grants access to exclusive benefits worth 51,888 yuan (7270$). The benefits include an expansion gift, smart driving gift, trade-in gift, worry-free gift, cooling gift, protection gift, data gift, upgrade gift, and priority gift.
The Baojun Yunhai positions itself as a compact SUV. The new design features smooth and full body lines. It sports triangular headlights with a three-segment split light strip inside, enhancing the visual effect when lit. The headlights easily illuminate eight lanes at a distance of 30 meters. The high beams reach over 170 meters and span six lanes. Additionally, the corner lights automatically activate when turning. This increases the illumination width from 45° to 70°, boosting nighttime driving safety.
The car features smooth side lines. The roof has a fastback design. The overall style is simple and fluid. The dimensions are 4541mm long, 1880mm wide, and 1608mm high. The wheelbase measures 2750mm. At the rear, the car uses a popular through-type light group. The light group exceeds 1.8m in length, enhancing the visual width.
The new car features petal-style two-tone wheels. This design matches the car’s youthful style. The low-drag design reduces overall drag by 1%. Notably, the Baojun Yunhai has a drag coefficient of just 0.259.
The new car features a minimalist interior design. It uses a dual-tone color scheme with a dark upper and light lower section. This creates a warm atmosphere. The 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and the 15.6-inch floating smart touchscreen enhance the tech feel inside. The new car includes standard six-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat. Customers can opt for a comfort package that adds ventilated and heated front seats and power adjustment for the passenger seat.
The Baojun Yunhai features the Lingmou Intelligent Driving 2.0 Max across all models. This system includes no-map city memory navigation, intelligent highway navigation, and all-scenario smart parking assistance. The intelligent driving system optimizes the automatic parking feature. It supports multi-level memory parking, 100m trajectory reverse, and manual speed adjustment. New features include dynamic gear shifting, folding mirror parking, self-select parking, and memory parking for early exit.
