On the night of August 22, Changan Automobile launched the “Fourth Generation CS75PLUS Design Aesthetics Riverside Night Talk” event. Top automotive designer Klaus Zichora and his team shared the design of the fourth generation CS75PLUS through a live broadcast.
The Changan CS75 series marks a milestone for Changan Automobile in the SUV market. The new model debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. It attracted significant attention from media worldwide. After its launch at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, monthly sales quickly surpassed 10,000 units.
In 2019, Changan Automobile launched the CS75PLUS. It aimed to be the “car of tomorrow.” The design underwent a complete overhaul. It featured an Aisin automatic transmission. This model brought Chinese mainstream SUVs into the A+ era. In 2022, the second generation of CS75PLUS debuted. The new model came standard with the Aisin 8AT transmission. It led the compact SUV market for Chinese brands. In 2023, the third generation CS75 Champion Edition entered the market. It included an L2-level driver assistance system across all models. This move achieved intelligent driving equality. Since the launch of the CS75, it has attracted over 2.6 million users.
Today, the fourth-generation CS75PLUS strengthens its position as the “Vehicle of Tomorrow.” It offers advanced intelligence. It excels in three key areas: ultra-comfortable cabin, smart new engine, and enjoyable driving experience.
The fourth-generation CS75PLUS features Changan’s latest design concept, “Zongheng Wanxiang.” It draws inspiration from “city lights and countless homes.” The front and headlights showcase the beauty of light, architecture, and river reflections. The sleek lines create a powerful presence. The details include an inverted trapezoidal grille with a dot matrix design, consistent with Changan’s borderless design language. The headlight assembly has a unique integrated design, emphasizing a strong futuristic feel.
The side lines are long. The roof features a small fastback design. This design creates smooth, dynamic side lines and ensures ample interior space. At the rear, the new car uses a new style of through-type light group. The dot matrix design is very recognizable.
The new car features large wheels and hidden door handles. Its dimensions are 4770mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1695mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2800mm.
The fourth-generation CS75PLUS features a 37-inch floating triple screen. It includes a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch high-definition central control screen, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen. The triple screen has a clear, divided touch interface. It uses iFlytek’s Spark AI model. Users can access music, movies, navigation, and more.
The hidden air vents keep the center console visually clean. The more user-friendly gear shift design greatly increases storage space in the center armrest. It includes dual cup holders and wireless charging, enhancing convenience.
The cabin features leather-wrapped areas like the dashboard, door panels, and B-pillars. Over 78% of the interior uses a skin-friendly design, equivalent to the leather from two sofas. The door panels and the area below the central control screen showcase large sections of suede fabric, stitched with leather. This creates a soft, delicate touch and highlights luxury. The cup holders and door panels incorporate a faux wood grain texture, adding a warm, natural beauty to the cabin and creating a cozy atmosphere.
The new car features a mysterious red color. It looks elegant and creates a comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, it offers interior colors like Midnight Black, Heatwave Orange, and Misty Brown.
The car features zero-gravity seats with a sports car-style design. These seats have quilted and perforated patterns. The front and rear seat backs are thick. They offer wide support for the head and sides. This design provides a strong sense of wrapping. The new model includes zero-gravity seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. They can recline up to 120 degrees. This setup enhances the user experience and offers a premium design for mainstream users.
The new car features an L2-level intelligent cruise assistance system. It includes 11 intelligent driving functions. These functions consist of smart cruise assistance, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. The car also offers APA 5.0 for automatic parking and parking space memory assistance. It supports one-button parking inside and outside the car, 50-meter traceable reversing, and parking space memory assistance.
The fourth-generation CS75PLUS offers comfort, intelligence, and power. It combines features from various configurations. The new car will launch this year. If the price is reasonable, it will likely become a sales star among its peers in the fuel SUV market.
