At the 2024 Goodwood Speed Festival, Bentley unveiled the latest generation of the Continental GT. This marks the fourth generation. Today, we saw it in China, including the convertible version. It retains the dynamic elegance of the Continental GT family while undergoing significant upgrades.
The fourth-generation Continental GT maintains the series’ style. It embodies the essence of a super-luxury sports tourer. The front displays symmetrical beauty and retains the iconic mesh grille. Overall, the headlights show significant changes. They no longer feature the classic four-eye design.
The matrix LED headlights contain 120 light units. They control beams independently. This allows for smooth transitions between illuminated and non-illuminated areas. The side design shows significant changes compared to the old model. The body lines appear elegant. The rear side exudes strength.
The new 22-inch wheels enhance the sense of power. They feature front 10-piston and rear 4-piston brake calipers. The brake discs are oversized. The fourth-generation Continental GT retains classic elements while adding modern technology. It includes a full LCD instrument panel and a flip-up central touchscreen. The analog gauges look elegant. The center console has many physical buttons.
The new Continental GT features a 4.0T twin-turbo V8 engine combined with an electric motor. This plug-in hybrid system delivers a maximum power of 782 horsepower and peak torque of 1000 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The top speed reaches 335 km/h.
This car reaches 140 km/h in electric mode. Its electric power matches a 2.0T engine. When you need more power, press the pedal hard. It delivers strong acceleration. The new model is not only more powerful but also more environmentally friendly.
