Jiayue becomes the world’s first smart car brand to apply the L4 autonomous driving large model from Baidu Apollo ADFM. With Baidu Apollo’s comprehensive support for L4 autonomous driving, Jiayue achieves pure vision high-level driving, unique in China and one of only two globally. The official price for the Jiayue ASD high-level driving package is 29,900 yuan (4210$). The limited-time discount price is 4,999 yuan (700$). The new monthly subscription price is 599 yuan (80$). Jiayue offers all new and existing car owners a free three-month trial of the ASD high-level driving package. For existing owners who already purchased the pure vision high-level driving, Jiayue will offer a “price adjustment” based on the current limited-time discount price.
ASD added 106 new functions and upgrades. It supports features like navigation assistance, valet parking, advanced lane keeping, and active safety. ASD enables free movement from point A to point B. Jiyue CEO Xia Yiping stated, “This is the first time L4 autonomous driving technology empowers family cars.” He added that without a 50 billion investment, smart driving cannot succeed. Spending only tens of billions creates “road killers.” Baidu’s over ten years of research in AI and autonomous driving, with continuous investment exceeding 150 billion, is key to Jiyue’s leading position. At the press conference, Jiyue announced the industry’s first native AI large model cockpit. In October 2023, Jiyue SIMO integrated Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyan, becoming the world’s first voice assistant to use an AI large model. This system upgrade restructured all cockpit capabilities based on a new native AI large model architecture. It introduced an innovative end-cloud collaborative AI agent framework. This framework models the cockpit’s perception, understanding, and execution abilities. It retains quick response capabilities while integrating the powerful understanding, generation, and decision-making abilities of cloud large models. The upgraded SIMO 2.0 is smarter and more human-like. SIMO 2.0 features capabilities like fun exploration, role-playing, and scene modes. Additionally, SIMO 2.0, which incorporates multimodal large models, achieves the industry’s only lip movement recognition feature. By recognizing users’ lip movement trajectories, it boosts speech recognition accuracy in noisy environments to 90%. SIMO 2.0 also enhances dialect recognition capabilities. The V2.0 version launches Tencent START cloud gaming. Users can play dozens of popular games with one click. The cabin connects with Baidu’s ecosystem, smartphones, smartwatches, and Switch for seamless integration.
