On August 28, the new Lantu Dreamer officially began pre-sales. It offers four configurations. The pre-sale price ranges from 349,900 to 489,900 yuan (68950$). This vehicle positions itself as a 7-seat large MPV. The new model upgrades design and features. It also introduces the Huawei HarmonyOS cockpit and the QianKun ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system.
The new Land Rover Dreamer features a front design with the latest Kunpeng family design language. The grille draws inspiration from the “Eastern Huabiao.” It uses 34 symmetrical elements, symbolizing China’s 34 provinces uniting. The visual effect is impressive. The new Land Rover Dreamer also offers two dual-tone paint options, meeting current consumer demands.
The new car measures 5315 mm long, 1980 mm wide, and 1820 mm high. Its wheelbase spans 3200 mm. The dimensions are impressive. The side lines match the old model closely. The rear lights feature a new design. The visual effect looks more refined. The lighting effect will also improve.
The interior features a larger central control screen and a passenger entertainment screen. The second row now includes a large foldable entertainment screen. Based on Lantu’s own Xiaoyao cabin, it adds the HarmonyOS cabin version. This will enhance in-car entertainment significantly.
The new Dreamer features a 2+2+3 seating layout with seven seats. The second row has two independent seats and includes a built-in refrigerator. The third-row seats adjust forward and backward with electric controls. They also fold down with one button, allowing flexible space in the third row and trunk. Additionally, the new Lantu Dreamer includes SPA-grade zero-gravity seats for better comfort in the second row.
The new car features 79% high-strength steel and aluminum alloy. Its torsional stiffness exceeds that of traditional luxury MPVs by more than three times. The safety aspects include several global innovations. It has the world’s first 2000MPa integrated hot-formed laser-welded door ring. It also features the world’s first 2000MPa aluminum-silicon-coated door anti-collision beam. Additionally, it includes the world’s first continuous aluminum threshold reinforcement beam. The car introduces the first CBS body filling structure enhancement material in MPVs. It also features the world’s first high-pressure die-cast aluminum shock absorber tower in an MPV.
The new car features advanced smart driving. The Kunpeng version uses Kunpeng smart driving. The Qiankun version features Huawei Qiankun 3.0 smart driving. It includes 192-line lidar, millimeter-wave radar, and high-performance cameras. In total, it has 27 intelligent sensing devices. These devices can perceive road environments in real-time, day or night. They can identify various types of obstacles.
The new Lantu Dreamer offers two power options: plug-in hybrid and pure electric. The plug-in hybrid uses a 1.5T engine combined with an electric motor. It delivers a total power of 420 kW and peak torque of 840 Nm. In pure electric mode, it has a range of 235 km. The total range reaches 1411 km. The pure electric version features a dual-motor layout. It provides a maximum power of 435 horsepower and peak torque of 620 Nm. Notably, the new car supports over 40 hours of external discharge, the longest in its class. When camping, the 3.3 kW external discharge function allows for over 12 hours of full-power discharge in pure electric mode. Idle power generation can sustain use for over 40 hours.
