Chery Group Reports 23.7% Sales Surge in August, NEVs Up 158.5%

Chery Holding Group just released its sales report. In August, Chery Automobile Group sold 211,879 vehicles. This marks a 23.7% increase year-on-year. Among these, new energy vehicle sales reached 46,526, up 158.5%. Exports totaled 97,866, a 12.7% rise. From January to August, Chery Group sold 1,508,259 vehicles. This represents a 41.9% increase year-on-year.

From January to August, Chery Group sold 787,954 cars in the domestic market. This marks a 61.57% increase. The company exported 720,305 vehicles overseas, up by 25.2%. In the fuel vehicle market, total sales reached 1,235,412 units, a 27.6% growth. Sales of new energy vehicles hit 272,847 units, soaring by 187%.

From the brand perspective: Among the four main passenger car brands, Chery sold 131,734 vehicles in August. From January to August, it sold 961,624 vehicles, a 34.8% increase year-on-year. The Exeed brand sold 11,339 vehicles in August. Its total sales from January to August reached 80,229 vehicles, a 22% increase. Jietu sold 51,785 vehicles in August. Its cumulative sales from January to August hit 316,446 vehicles, a 95.5% increase, surpassing last year’s total sales. The iCAR brand launched its first product six months ago. In August, it sold 5,967 vehicles. Its total sales this year stand at 37,681 vehicles.
