On September 9, the 2025 BYD Han officially launched. The new car’s price ranges from 165,800 to 235,800 yuan (33100$). The company announced various launch benefits. Although this is a facelift model, the changes are significant. The 2025 Han DM-i / EV features laser radar and the Orin X smart driving chip. It uses fifth-generation DM technology and upgrades to a five-link rear suspension. The new car optimizes the exterior design, intelligence, and power technology.
The new car retains the classic design of the current model. It features BYD’s iconic Dragon Face design on the front. The car uses floating Dragon Crystal LED headlights. The biggest change is the optional laser radar on the roof.
The plug-in hybrid models feature the new fifth-generation DM technology. This technology significantly reduces the front grille’s air intake. It also lowers the engine compartment temperature. The plug-in hybrid’s front design has changed noticeably. This change gives the DM plug-in hybrid and the EV pure electric models similar closed front designs.
The 2025 BYD Han will offer a blacked-out sports package for consumers. It will also feature a new “Weiyang Gray” paint color. The vehicle measures 4995 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2920 mm. The rear includes a continuous Chinese knot LED taillight.
The interior features a 15.6-inch LCD central display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The multifunction steering wheel maintains a twin-spoke design. It includes independent zone ambient lighting. The overall atmosphere feels calm and offers a sense of luxury to consumers.
The new car features the DiPilt 300 “God’s Eye” advanced driving system. It uses the NVIDIA Orin-X chip. The system includes 31 sensors, including lidar. It enables nationwide highway and urban navigation assistance. It supports functions like passing through traffic lights, merging on and off ramps, and autonomous lane changes on public roads.
The new Han DM-i uses the fifth-generation DM hybrid system. It features a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 156 horsepower. The motor delivers a maximum power of 272 horsepower. It matches with a FeiDi lithium iron phosphate blade battery. The new Han hybrid version includes 12.960/18.316 kWh batteries. Its curb weight is 1860/1910 kg. Under WLTC conditions, it achieves a range of 70 km and 102 km. The fuel consumption in low battery mode is 4.7 L/100 km. The Han EV features a pure electric power system. It outputs a maximum power of 228 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. Since the first BYD Han model launched in early July 2020, the Han family has sold 800,000 units.
