On September 24, 2024, Huawei launched the HarmonyOS Zhixing R7, its first coupe SUV, at the autumn product launch event. The lineup includes four models: one Pro version, two Max versions, and one Ultra version. Prices range from 259,800 to 339,800 yuan (48370$).

The new car features the OneBox design concept first used by the ZhiJie S7. It shifts the C point forward and raises the D point. This improves the cabin space utilization. The front lights and the aerodynamic design on both sides stand out.
The Zhijie R7 offers six body colors: Sunny Blue, Metropolitan Red, Phantom Purple, Ceramic White, Golden Black, and Deep Space Gray. For wheels, choose between 20-inch dual five-spoke low-resistance wheels or 21-inch dual ten-spoke high-performance wheels.
The Zhijie R7 measures 4956mm in length, 1981mm in width, and 1634mm in height. Its wheelbase spans 2950mm. The vehicle falls into the mid-large SUV category. Additionally, the new car boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.219, giving it a significant advantage over competitors.
The interior offers four color options: White Sand Almond, Amber Brown, Sparrow Feather Red, and Truffle Brown.
Thanks to innovative body proportions and optimized interior layout, the Zhijie R7 offers nearly 1 meter of space in both the front and rear seats. The front row features a high-energy, enveloping driving space. It divides the visibility area, display area, and control area. The optimally sized oval steering wheel enhances the driver’s experience and safety. The fully connected central console includes two 50W super wireless chargers, three 66W wired chargers, and dual cup holders, making charging and storage more convenient.
The front central armrest box offers an optional 8.2L dual-opening mini bar. It supports a wide temperature range from 3 to 50 degrees. Passengers can enjoy hot and cold drinks. The setup includes a central storage compartment and shoulder cushion speakers for a more comfortable experience.
The rear legroom measures 956mm. The headroom reaches 1034mm. All models feature Silk Cloud seats 2.0. The front seat cushions are 115mm thick. The rear seats adjust electrically from 27° to 37°. Max and Ultra versions include ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The rear seats have 3.8L and 3.5L storage drawers for items like tissues. The rear side features Starry Black trim for easy control of seat ventilation, heating, massage, and air conditioning.
The Zhijie R7 is the first SUV from Hongmeng Zhixing with a co-driver zero-gravity seat. This seat supports 18 adjustments and heated leg rests. It can unfold to create a dual 123° zero-pressure angle. It can also recline to 137°, allowing passengers to lie flat and rest. The spacious rear seat ensures that rear passengers remain comfortable even when the co-driver zero-gravity seat is in use.
The Zhijie R7 features the HUAWEI SOUND audio system. The cabin sound field algorithm adjusts based on the number of people and their positions. The front row, except for the Pro version, includes shoulder speakers. The system has 17 speakers with a maximum power of 1000W.
The Zhijie R7 features a 2.1m² panoramic sunroof. It includes an electric sunshade. The sunshade provides 100% physical sun protection. It does not affect headroom when closed.
Unlike most coupe SUVs, the Zhijie R7 offers impressive trunk space. The trunk can expand in three stages, reaching a maximum volume of 2130L from 837L. The new car uses the HUAWEI DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide power platform across all models. The rear-wheel-drive version has a motor with a maximum power of 215 kW. The Ultra version features front and rear motors with maximum powers of 150 kW and 215 kW, respectively. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The braking distance from 100 km/h is only 34.7 meters. The moose test score reaches 82.3 km/h.
The Zhijie R7 features the “full-powered” Tuling platform. It uses a front virtual ball joint double-wishbone suspension and a rear five-link suspension. All models come with continuously variable damping shock absorbers and intelligent air suspension. The air suspension allows for a maximum height adjustment of ±50mm. It supports five plus one levels of intelligent height adjustment to handle various road conditions. The new vehicle incorporates four core technologies: HUAWEI ADS for road perception, iVSE for intelligent vehicle status perception, HUAWEI DATS for dynamic adaptive torque control, and HUAWEI xMotion for intelligent body coordination control. It introduces intelligent downhill cruising, active slip control, and active cornering control systems. The vehicle also boasts strong off-road capabilities, providing a better, more comfortable, and safer driving experience.
All models feature Huawei’s “Giant Whale” 800V high-voltage battery. Customers can choose between an 82kWh or a 100kWh battery pack. These options deliver CLTC ranges of 667km, 736km, and 802km for different versions.
The Zhijie R7 launches with the latest HUAWEI ADS 3.0 advanced smart driving system. It features an end-to-end new architecture. Users can drive around the national ring road. The innovative parking-to-parking driving function connects parking lots to public roads. It also links public roads to parks and ground areas to underground. Users can change destinations anytime. The system supports autonomous passage through gates, achieving seamless integration across all scenarios. The driving experience feels more human-like. In parking, the Zhijie R7 identifies obstacles occupying spaces. Users can exit the vehicle and move obstacles for autonomous parking. This makes parking more convenient and safe. In terms of passive safety, the core structure of the Zhijie R7’s cabin uses 100% submarine-grade hot-formed steel. High-strength steel, submarine-grade hot-formed steel, and aluminum alloy make up 86.7% of the vehicle. The collision standards meet the Zhongbao Research 3G+ and C-NCAP five-star ratings. The Huawei Whale battery platform features an intelligent perception network. It includes intelligent voltage monitoring at the cell level and intelligent temperature monitoring at the module level. The system provides all-weather AI analysis and early warning. It has passed rigorous safety tests.
