On October 14, the Xpeng P7+ debuted at the 2024 Paris Auto Show. It announced a starting price of 209,800 yuan (29600$). Customers can pay a 99 yuan (10$) deposit, which deducts 3,000 yuan (420$) from the purchase price. This model is the first to feature Xpeng’s new generation autonomous driving hardware platform. The car will officially launch in early November.
The Xiaopeng P7+ features a family-style design. It has a continuous LED light strip and separate headlights. The front adds air vents. The hood and surrounding areas appear fuller and sportier.
The dimensions of the Xiaopeng P7+ are 5056 mm in length, 1937 mm in width, and 1512 mm in height. Its wheelbase measures 3000 mm. For comparison, the current Xiaopeng P7i measures 4888 mm in length, 1896 mm in width, and 1450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2998 mm. After its launch, the Xiaopeng P7+ will be the largest sedan in the Xiaopeng brand.
The design of the Xiaopeng P7+ is very simple. It features a floating full LCD instrument panel and a large central control screen. The overall design closely resembles the Xiaopeng X9. The vehicle uses the familiar Xiaopeng Tianji system. It includes a 15.6-inch central control screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. The interior boasts excellent craftsmanship and materials, giving the cabin a high-quality feel. Additionally, the new car has manual non-hidden air vents, making it easier for users to adjust airflow.
The Xiaopeng P7+ is a rare spacious coupe. The rear legroom is ample. All four seats have ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The configuration is fully equipped. Additionally, the P7+ features an 8-inch entertainment control screen above the rear air vents. This screen controls the air conditioning, seats, and entertainment system.
The trunk space is impressive. The hatchback design provides a large opening. The depth is also good. In its standard form, the trunk offers 725 liters of space. Folding down the second row expands it to 2221 liters.
In terms of intelligent driving, the Xiaopeng P7+ features a new intelligent driving solution—the Xiaopeng AI Eagle Eye Vision system. This system significantly improves perception and recognition speed. Official reports state that the perception distance increased by 125% and recognition speed improved by 40%. Additionally, this solution is the industry’s first to use a single-pixel LOFIC architecture, handling low light, backlight, and high light contrast effectively.
In terms of power, the Xpeng P7+ features an 800V architecture across all models. It offers a rear-wheel drive single motor option. The maximum power of the rear motor is 180kW or 230kW. For the battery, the P7+ uses a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. It comes in two sizes: 60.7kWh and 76.3kWh. The corresponding electric range is 575km and 685km. With smaller rims, the range can reach 602km and 710km.
