On October 29, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15 series and the Xiaomi Surge OS 2. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model debuted with a pre-sale price of 814,900 yuan (114380$). Reservations opened on October 29 at 10:30 PM, requiring a deposit of 10,000 yuan (1400$). The official launch will occur in March 2025.
Xiaomi Chairman Lei Jun announced at the press conference that the Xiaomi SU7 series represents the highest-end, most powerful products. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model features an exaggerated U-shaped air knife, a large front splitter, air ducts, an oversized carbon fiber rear wing, and an active diffuser at the rear. It achieves a maximum downforce of 285 kg.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features carbon fiber in 17 areas, including the roof and steering wheel. It also includes new sports seats with exclusive racing stripes and embroidered logos.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a super three-motor system. It delivers 1548PS of power. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds. It has a top speed of 350 km/h. The new car includes closed dual-chamber air springs. It has high-performance adjustable dampers. Customers can also opt for additional professional equipment.
After 10 minutes of listing, Xiaomi SU7 received 3,680 pre-orders. Lei Jun reported that Xiaomi delivered 20,000 cars in October. Xiaomi’s smart driving urban navigation will launch fully by the end of October. The end-to-end large model will enter internal testing by the end of November. This year, Xiaomi plans to invest over 24 billion yuan in R&D. By 2025, the R&D investment is expected to reach 30 billion yuan.
