2024 Guangzhou Auto Show: Unveiling Electric Innovations & Jietu’s Ambitions

On November 15, the 22nd Guangzhou International Auto Show officially opened. The auto market has entered a phase of competition. Electric and smart Chinese new energy vehicles now drive high-quality development in the industry. This year’s auto show continues with the theme “New Technology, New Life.” It serves as a barometer for the development of the Chinese auto market. The show collaborates with the global auto industry to create a new era. The event features 78 global premieres, including 6 from multinational companies. A total of 1,171 vehicles will be displayed, with 512 being new energy vehicles. Together, they showcase new technologies and innovations for the new era. Executives shared their views. Li Xiaojing, Assistant General Manager of the Marketing Center at Jietu Brand Division, stated that Jietu will fully ramp up efforts next year, aiming for an annual sales target of 800,000 units. The company will quickly iterate on fuel vehicles while launching hybrid models. It will also continue to push the boundaries in high-end models. Below is the transcript of the interview:

We are honored to have Ms. Li Xiaojing, Assistant General Manager of the Marketing Center for the Jietu Brand Division. Please greet our viewers, Ms. Li. Li Xiaojing: Hello, friends from Sina. Sina Auto: This year, Jietu’s speed is impressive. It has become a dark horse in the market. What are your sales expectations for the year? Li Xiaojing: In this competitive market, Jietu has achieved great results. We have set many records. We expect to reach our annual sales target of 500,000 units by the end of this month. This could make us the only car brand to sell over 500,000 units within six years of establishment. Our goal is to complete 550,000 units for the year. Sina Auto: For a company just six years old, 550,000 is remarkable. With over a month left in the year, can you share your sales target for 2025? Li Xiaojing: We aim to maintain Jietu’s rapid growth and accelerate further. We plan to challenge the goal of 800,000 units for next year, building on this year’s target of 550,000. Sina Auto: What methods will you use to achieve this goal? Li Xiaojing: We will focus on product development, market expansion, and marketing strategies. We will quickly iterate our fuel vehicles, enhance our hybrid models, and introduce high-end vehicles. In terms of market strategy, we will expand globally, operating on both domestic and international fronts. In marketing, Jietu focuses on new media. We established our own MCN to enhance new media strategies. This empowers our dealers comprehensively. We will upgrade our new media approach. Sina Auto: This means we will launch better products and innovative sales channels. We will also expand overseas to support our goal of 800,000 units. Jietu aims to become the leader in China’s travel off-road SUV market. Recently, at the Travel+ Conference, we announced our goal to be the global leader in travel off-road culture. We will expand from “China” to “global.” Li Xiaojing: First, we will drive technical innovation to lead the world. We aim to develop world-class hybrid off-road technology. Second, we uphold the explorer strategy. We combine travel with culture to create the world’s leading travel ecosystem. We will enhance travel experiences for users. Third, we will establish a local presence. Jietu aims to be a contributor to global welfare. We will hire locally, build factories, and focus on local manufacturing and R&D. This will boost the local economy and contribute Jietu’s value to social development. Sina Auto: People say “in China, for China.” We also go out to adapt fully to local culture, environment, and climate. Li Xiaojing: Jietu will uphold the group’s concept of “In China, For Global.” It will accelerate its expansion into global markets. Jietu aims to broaden the strategic landscape of Chinese travel. It will establish a strong presence in the world of off-road travel. Jietu seeks to become a world-class brand alongside American Jeep and British Land Rover. In the future, the world will see Jietu as a leader in off-road travel.

We expect to meet our annual sales target this month. This morning, Chairman Yin distributed celebratory candies at our booth. Our products include the Traveler, T1, T2 from the Box Champion family, and the debut of the Free Spirit. These are all worth seeing. The family travel off-road SUV, Shanhai L7, and other strong contenders like the New Great Sage are also present. For car modification and esports enthusiasts, the Jietu JMK’s first game IP custom model—the Peace Elite War God Edition—will impress you. It incorporates many elements from Peace Elite, offering users a cross-dimensional esports experience.
