The show features 78 global premieres, including 6 from multinational companies. A total of 1,171 vehicles are on display, with 512 being new energy vehicles. Dongfeng Fengshen’s latest hybrid technology is now available. The company will continue to iterate on this technology next year. They will also update their products, launching plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles this year. Next year, they plan to introduce a co-creation version and a new hybrid SUV. Li Wei: As mentioned earlier, this is a major showcase for Dongfeng Fengshen. As a new brand undergoing transformation, we present both fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles at the Guangzhou Auto Show. We made some new attempts and experiences. The Dongfeng Fengshen L7 features both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions. We also present the L7 co-creation version. For fuel vehicles, we have the Haoji and Haohan. Additionally, we bring a surprise: the racing-modified version of the Fengshen Yixuan, which has won numerous annual championships in CTCC and CEC. This car offers a thrilling experience for sports enthusiasts. Sina Auto: You mentioned the Dongfeng Fengshen L7 co-creation version. What does this mean for Dongfeng Fengshen? Dongfeng Fengshen often talks about engaging with users. How will you implement this idea? Li Wei: This is a profound thought process. Dongfeng Fengshen is transforming from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles. We must change our attitude and distance towards users. Take the Yixuan, for example. The Yixuan brings a racing-modified version. Many do not know that Dongfeng Fengshen provided the exam vehicle for obtaining racing licenses in China. When users earn their exciting racing licenses, they experience the track with the Yixuan. We started emphasizing our sports DNA years ago and hope to engage more deeply with sports enthusiasts. The L7 co-creation version follows this guiding principle. We focus on co-creation not just in appearance but also in interior design and gaming. We collaborate with Tencent Vanguard Games to bring fresh and fun experiences. User feedback will deepen our co-creation plans, including colors and naming. We even consider bold ideas like co-creating pricing with users. Essentially, Fengshen is Dongfeng’s mainstream brand. We leverage our advanced Dongfeng Mach hybrid technology, Dongfeng Mach power, and championship-level chassis tuning. We aim to make users feel the cutting-edge technology. Whether it’s helping users obtain racing licenses or engaging in co-creation, we gradually connect with users. More experiences and interactions will expand the co-creation concept to models like the Yixuan and others. We strive to launch co-creation versions quickly. Sina Auto: You mentioned Dongfeng Mach. We want to ask on behalf of netizens, what makes the Dongfeng Mach E “the strongest electric”? Li Wei: Dongfeng Mach is a large technology system. We currently focus on two sets. One is the Dongfeng Mach hybrid PHREV, which can operate in pure electric, plug-in hybrid, or range-extended modes. We use this in the L7 plug-in hybrid model. The Dongfeng Mach E power mainly applies to electric drive. It matches the Dongfeng Fengshen L7 pure electric version, delivering stronger power. Through energy recovery and acceleration control, users experience powerful acceleration without motion sickness during high-speed overtaking. This detail is crucial. Sina Auto: The Dongfeng Fengshen L7 has an ultra-long range version. What advanced technologies have we employed? Li Wei: The L7 plug-in hybrid version has a standard range of 1500 kilometers. However, some teachers achieved 2100 kilometers in real tests. This success comes from Dongfeng Mahe’s leading electric hybrid technology. This technology offers a unified experience. It excels in configuration, electric drive, safety, and intelligence. This allows our L7 to be a powerful and convenient electric vehicle in the city. When we need rapid acceleration or speed on the highway, it transforms into a plug-in hybrid. It provides power and higher efficiency. If the battery runs low, it becomes an efficient range extender, ensuring a stress-free drive. Therefore, Dongfeng Mahe’s electric hybrid PHREV technology enables us to achieve such long driving ranges while ensuring safety and intelligence. Sina Auto: You mentioned that some media reported a range of 2100 kilometers. What feedback have users given about this vehicle? Li Wei: Many users say that 2000 kilometers is impressive, but reaching that limit is challenging. After the L7 plug-in version launched, we initiated a user co-testing challenge. Users achieved 260-280 kilometers on a 205-kilometer pure electric range. This shows we’ve exceeded expectations. In winter, battery performance may decline due to technical limitations. So, in October, we invite users to test the true pure electric range. “True range, no discounts,” lets everyone experience our minimal range decline, which is a significant advantage in the industry. Sina Auto: We have asked Mr. Li many questions about the models. Now, let’s discuss the brand. This year marks the 15th anniversary of Dongfeng Fengshen. What new value does the refreshed Fengshen bring us? What new goals and initiatives are ahead? Li Wei: During the transformation of Dongfeng Fengshen, we focus on releasing and updating new technologies. Dongfeng Fengshen’s hybrid technology is the latest. We will continue to iterate on it next year. This year, we launched plug-in hybrids and pure electric models. Next year, we will introduce the co-creation version and a new plug-in hybrid SUV. In two years, we will launch five new models. To enhance user experience, we will refresh more stores. Many new stores opened in October and November feature Dongfeng Fengshen’s flagship design. This design is more transparent and reflects the new energy style. Customers will enjoy a better atmosphere during their product experience. Next year, we will renovate all stores for new energy. This renovation will reach more locations. Internally, we will improve sales and service processes for new energy users. We will enhance staff capabilities. This comprehensive approach will transform Dongfeng Fengshen’s image from fuel vehicles to new energy. Sina Auto: The competition in the new energy vehicle market is intensifying. What are Dongfeng Fengshen’s advantages in this transition? Li Wei: Our main advantage lies in being part of Dongfeng Motor’s mainstream smart platform. This platform occupies the industry’s central price range and product layout. With 55 years of automotive expertise, Fengshen will apply Dongfeng’s latest and most advanced technologies and standards, including the upgrade of Dongfeng Mahe hybrid 2.0.
