On November 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported the results of the 2023 supervision and inspection of new energy vehicles. To regulate auto production and strengthen oversight, the ministry conducted a consistency inspection of new energy vehicle production. This followed relevant regulations, including the “Management Measures for the Access of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products.” The inspection revealed that nine companies had nine models with consistency issues. The details are as follows: 1. Models with consistency issues: – For new energy passenger vehicles, two companies had two models. These models did not meet energy consumption standards and had parts that failed to comply with announcement management requirements. – For new energy trucks, seven companies had seven models. These models had discrepancies between part parameters and announcement records, and high-pressure markings did not meet standards. 2. The Ministry will handle the identified consistency issues according to the “Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China,” the “Management Measures for the Access of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products,” and relevant announcement regulations. Local industrial and information authorities must urge companies to identify the causes of product issues, develop corrective measures, and ensure compliance with requirements.
