Recently, Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. The plan follows the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products. Starting from February 14, 2025, the company will recall 10,795 domestic E-Class vehicles. These vehicles were produced between October 23, 2024, and November 22, 2024.
Some vehicles in this recall have issues with the manufacturing process of the drive shaft coupling. This may cause them to fail to meet requirements. In extreme cases, the coupling may not withstand torque during driving, leading to a break. This break interrupts power transmission between the transmission and rear axle, increasing the risk of accidents and posing safety hazards. Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. will provide free inspections of the drive shafts for recalled vehicles through authorized dealers. If a vehicle falls within the affected batch, the company will replace the drive shaft to eliminate safety risks.
