Starting February 14, Lantu Zhiyin and Lantu Dreamer users can experience the DeepSeek capability of the Lantu Xiaoyao cockpit AI through the OTA update. The team focused on the navigation function, which we use almost every time we drive. They worked hard to install the “industry-leading navigation”—the Baidu V20 visual city lane-level navigation system.
Many people prefer using their phones for navigation, even with built-in car systems. They often find car navigation underwhelming. After this upgrade, the Lantu Zhiyin’s navigation system has caught up and even surpassed phone navigation. The test drive route measured 17.1 kilometers, covering city roads and some highways. The Baidu V20 navigation system exceeded expectations in sensitivity, accuracy, usability, and information richness.
The Lantu Zhiyin navigation system upgrades to visual city lane-level navigation. It uses high-precision maps and deep fusion visual algorithms to perceive real vehicle lanes. The overall UI design is impressive. In terms of HUD, the LanTu ZhiYin OTA 2.0 has become more powerful. In HUD navigation mode, the central control initiates navigation and supports HUD countdowns for traffic lights. It also provides enlarged views of traffic conditions. In both HUD standard and navigation modes, it shows enlarged images of key intersections. The system enhances driving assistance.

Currently, the official system offers six scenarios. Later, owners can develop countless modes based on their needs and share them on the platform with other owners. The operation is simple: click to create a scene and add the corresponding functions. AI voice control enables more convenient and human-like interactions. Complaints about voice interaction used to be harsh, but now the love runs deep. As car functions grow complex, the few physical buttons and stacked menus no longer suffice. It’s easier to give a voice command than to remember where a function is located. Lantu Zhiyin OTA 2.0 features a significant upgrade in voice control. The fast, precise, comprehensive, and flexible AI voice control, based on a new AI voice model, greatly enhances functionality and efficiency, truly realizing intelligent voice interaction.
First, this AI voice interaction system introduces multi-meaning flow NLU. A single sentence can include navigation, vehicle control, and entertainment commands. The voice assistant understands and executes commands simultaneously. During the test drive, we issued six continuous voice commands: “Open the windows, adjust the seat back, play Jay Chou’s ‘Blue and White Porcelain,’ increase the volume, check the remaining battery, navigate to the nearest charging station.” The system executed all commands quickly and accurately. The second feature is always-on wakefulness. It covers over 230 user intents. It supports vehicle control, media playback, calls, and navigation. For these frequently used functions, users no longer need a wake word; they can issue commands directly. The third feature is the launch of a voice large model interaction. It intelligently invokes large model capabilities based on conversation intent, eliminating the need to say “open large model.” Currently, the large model supports text generation, AI painting, and encyclopedic knowledge.
The fourth point is the enhancement of intelligent context capabilities. It understands user intent. It provides relevant answers and suggestions based on previous dialogue. This makes conversations more coherent. For example, after the command “Navigate to Shichahai,” if the user asks, “What’s the weather like there?” the system automatically checks the weather for that location.
Customizable tones and generalizable enhancements make this AI voice control feel like a helpful assistant, not a cold system. As mentioned earlier, stacking functions and hardware is outdated. With a growing user base, integrating existing and new features into real-life scenarios is crucial. In the new features of the Lantu Zhiyin OTA 2.0, each function may seem familiar on its own. However, effectively utilizing these features tests the car manufacturers’ skills. This upgrade significantly improves the system’s efficiency, intelligence, and personalization.
