On February 10, BYD launched the Song L DM-i Smart Driving version at its smart strategy event. The new car features the advanced Tian Shen Eye C smart driving system. It offers five models, with official prices ranging from 135,800 to 175,800 yuan (24050$).
The Song L DM-i Smart Driving Edition features a new obsidian black exterior and twilight gray interior. It includes the advanced DiLink 100 smart cockpit. The system boasts a 15.6-inch central control screen. The dashboard supports 3D rendering. Users can control windows, adjust seats, and manage mirrors through a 3D vehicle model in the system.
The Song L DM-i Smart Driving Edition features the advanced 5R12V Tian Shen Eye smart driving system. It includes 29 sensors. These sensors provide driving assistance, parking assistance, and safety assistance. For power and range, the Song L DM-i uses fifth-generation DM technology. It consumes only 3.9L of fuel per 100 kilometers in NEDC testing. The total range reaches 1500 km with a full tank and full charge. In urban commuting, it can operate in pure electric mode. It offers three electric range options: 75 km, 112 km, and 160 km. The 160 km model supports a maximum charging power of 54 kW. It takes just 17 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
The launch of the Song L DM-i Smart Driving version comes with financial offers. Customers can choose “0 down payment,” “0 interest,” or “0 monthly payments.” The manufacturer also provides a replacement subsidy of up to 25,000 yuan (3420$), combining national and factory support.
