Recently, Car Quality Network learned that Porsche will launch a new 911 Dakar model. It will feature the same T-Hybrid system as the new 911 GTS. The official release is expected by the end of 2025. The current 911 Dakar has a limited production of 2,500 units. The last unit will roll off the line in November 2024. Porsche’s CEO previously stated that if demand for the 911 Dakar is strong, they may produce more off-road versions of the 911 in the future.

The new 911 Dakar will likely feature the same 3.6T turbocharged flat-six engine as the 911 GTS. It will pair with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine will produce a maximum power of 391 kW and peak torque of 609 N·m. This marks an increase from the current 911 Dakar’s 349 kW. The acceleration from 0 to 60 mph will likely improve. For reference, the GTS model with the same engine achieves 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds.
