The 14th National People’s Congress will hold its third session on March 5, 2025, in Beijing. National representatives, including GAC Group Chairman and General Manager Feng Xingya, will focus on cultivating new productivity. They will promote sustainable development in the new energy vehicle industry. They will also emphasize social responsibility in the automotive sector. Their goal is to advise on high-quality development and strengthen the automotive industry.
This year, Feng Xingya continues to focus on trends and pain points in the automotive industry. The battery swapping model stands alongside the charging model as a key energy supply method for new energy vehicles. It aligns with the dual carbon strategy and effectively addresses the challenges of recharging. It has clear advantages. However, the number of battery swapping stations for passenger cars remains low, with only about 4,200 nationwide. The sector is still in its early development stage. High construction costs, delayed planning, and a lack of unified battery standards pose significant challenges. In response, Feng Xingya aims to strengthen policies for the battery swapping model, accelerate planning and layout, and gradually unify battery swapping standards to promote faster adoption.
