MINI John Cooper Works Goes Electric: New Models Enter Production in China

According to MINI’s official news, on March 6, Dr. Stefan Fleck, senior vice president of BMW Group for MINI and BMW compact models, announced at the Beam Automotive’s third supplier conference that the new all-electric MINI John Cooper Works and the new MINI John Cooper Works Aceman have entered mass production at Beam Automotive’s factory in Zhangjiagang. They will soon launch in China. As MINI’s high-performance sub-brand, MINI John Cooper Works models feature strong power and distinctive designs. Their classic red roofs, racing checkered flag motifs, and red brake calipers are recognizable elements for MINI fans. Fans often refer to these models as MINI JCW cars. The new all-electric MINI John Cooper Works and the new MINI John Cooper Works Aceman debuted at last year’s Paris Motor Show. These products demonstrate JCW’s commitment and capability to expand high-performance car technology boundaries under the trend of electrification. They embrace change while honoring their racing heritage. Dr. Stefan Fleck stated at the event, “2025 will be our MINI JCW year. Following the production of the new electric MINI Cooper and MINI Aceman, these high-performance models will enter production at Beam and supply the global market. With the addition of electric models, the fun, stylish, and powerful MINI JCW brand will build the strongest product lineup in China’s high-performance small car segment.”
