They introduced three new hybrid product lines: high-efficiency CDM and CEM, high-performance CDM-S and CEM-S, and strong off-road CDM-O and CEM-O. The event also announced the 2025 global and domestic market plans for new energy. They launched the pre-sale for the extended version of the Shanhai T2 and revealed fixed prices for several hybrid models.
The new hybrid technology divides into three main areas. The high-efficiency CDM/CEM targets lower energy consumption and higher efficiency. The standout is the Kunpeng Tianqing hybrid engine. It achieves a thermal efficiency of 48%. This technology leads the industry.
The engine ignition energy reaches an industry-high 200mj. It uses a 600bar direct injection system. This system ensures a more uniform air-fuel mixture and better combustion. The hybrid transmission achieves a combined efficiency of 93%. These technologies reduce the vehicle’s fuel consumption to the 2L era.
The high-performance CDM-S/CEM-S uses the Kunpeng hybrid transmission DHT230/280. It achieves the highest power in the industry. The 400V voltage platform delivers 230kW. The 800V voltage platform provides 280kW. To meet overseas demands for speeds over 200 km/h, the motor’s maximum operating speed is designed at 24,000 RPM.
To achieve higher power density, the new generation hybrid transmission uses a 16-in-1 design. This design boasts the highest integration in the industry. It is compact and reduces weight by 30%. The adoption of silicon carbide power modules boosts power density by 268%. It also decreases size by 30%. This represents the ultimate in design efficiency.
The强越野CDM-O/CEM-O will feature a 2.0TGDI hybrid engine designed for off-road use. It will also have a specialized transmission and dual vector motors. The engine uses IP68 water drainage technology. It can submerge 20 centimeters underwater and still start normally after 40 minutes.
The multi-mode hybrid transmission matrix is designed for off-road use. It features a transverse three-speed layout, delivering 4000 N·m of torque at the wheels. The longitudinal two-speed layout achieves 6500 N·m of torque. The vector dual-motor system produces a maximum power of 1200 kW and a maximum torque of 18000 N·m at the vehicle’s end. This setup enhances off-road capability.
As technology evolves, global strategies improve. Chery Automobile will launch 23 new energy products worldwide by 2025. It will also introduce 39 hybrid products in the domestic market by 2025. This accelerates the overall layout of new energy products.
The launch event officially started the pre-sale of the Shanhai T2 extended version. The pre-sale price ranges from 199,900 to 244,900 yuan (33580$). The new design retains the style of the current model. The vehicle length increases by 249 mm. The dimensions are 5034 x 2006 x 1875 mm, with a wheelbase of 2800 mm. It will offer a 7-seat layout and feature an XWD four-wheel drive system.
The Fengyun A9, a C-class flagship sedan, will officially launch pre-sales on April 18. It will feature Falcon Smart Drive 700, Snow Leopard All-Wheel Drive, and Lingxi Smart Cabin. The car will also include Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM 6.0. This upgrade boosts engine power and improves range and battery safety.
