The energy consumption was 13.0 kWh per 100 km. This efficiency is impressive for a B+ sedan. The displayed electric range data was also very accurate.
On the return trip from the foot of Mogan Mountain to Xiaoshan Airport, we used the “extended range driving mode.” The route consisted of 30% urban driving and 70% highway driving. After driving 87.3 km, the pure electric range remained unchanged at 19 km. The fuel range decreased by 99 km, leaving 571 km. Even in extended range mode, the vehicle used pure electric power at the start. This meant that much of the electricity generated by the fuel was consumed during acceleration. Surprisingly, the actual fuel consumption measured at 3.7 L per 100 km closely matched the official claim of 3.67 L. Geely’s Galaxy Star 8 delivers on its energy consumption promises.
