On April 7, SAIC-GM-Wuling held the 2025 Technology Evolution Day at the Esports Center in Hangzhou, China. During the event, SAIC-GM-Wuling unveiled multiple technological achievements in four areas: Shenlian Battery, Lingmou Intelligent Driving, Lingyu Cabin, and Lingxi Power. At the same time, the Baojun brand launched pre-sales for its first “Intelligent Ultra-Comfort Flagship Sedan,” the Baojun Xiangjing. The new car offers both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions, starting at a pre-sale price of 132,800 yuan (18210$).
Han Dehong, Vice General Manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling, introduced the company’s focus on user needs. They prioritize “extreme safety,” “boundaryless intelligence,” “flexible space,” and “efficient integration.” The company innovates based on user scenarios. They build the “Sky·Spirit·Divine” technology system. They continuously break through and innovate in six key technologies: Tianling mode, Tianyu architecture, Lingxi power, Lingmou intelligent driving, Lingyu cabin, and Shenlian battery.
SAIC-GM-Wuling officially launched the Shenlian Battery 3.0 at the press conference. The battery achieves full coverage from cell to user in all scenarios. It uses fire-resistant cells and a five-horizontal, seven-vertical structure. The design integrates the battery with the vehicle through CTC technology. It features Shenling Shield and Shenling Armor. The battery meets the “five zero safety” standards: zero spontaneous combustion, zero diffusion, zero water ingress, zero intrusion, and zero leakage.
The future brings the evolution of Shentian Battery 4.0. It will use an 800V platform, CTB, smart wireless BMS, and AI energy management. New smart temperature control, 3D multi-faceted thermal management, and thermoelectric separation will enhance safety. The world’s first 6C high manganese battery, Shentian Battery M, will support Shentian Battery 4.0. It can recharge 50% in just 7 minutes. Its unique high-safety ear design and innovative composite technology will improve safety, performance, range, and lifespan. This will help achieve over 1000 kilometers of pure electric range for everyone.
SAIC-GM-Wuling officially launched the Lingmu Intelligent Driving Technology Matrix. This matrix is based on a two-stage end-to-end architecture, an explainable end-to-end architecture, and a generative world model. It includes four levels: basic, standard, advanced, and flagship. The technology covers various scenarios such as urban areas, highways, and parking.
The Lingmou Smart Driving Standard Edition supports forward AEB, high-speed NOA, and smart parking. It includes city memory navigation and cross-layer memory parking as standard. The Lingmou Smart Driving Advanced Edition uses a more powerful hardware platform. It adds eight active safety features, including full-speed omnidirectional AEB and throttle misstep prevention. These features protect users during travel. It also supports point-to-point urban navigation assistance and valet parking. The Lingmou Smart Driving Flagship Edition features a higher standard safety redundancy architecture and a generative world model. Its computing power reaches 500 TOPS. Additionally, SAIC-GM-Wuling announced the industry’s first commercial vehicle safety smart driving promotion plan at the launch event. This plan customizes safe smart driving solutions for both human-driven and unmanned logistics scenarios.
Lingyu Cabin upgrades its perception, understanding, intelligent scheduling, expression, and interaction in smart voice assistants. This accelerates the widespread adoption of AI cabins. The Lingyu AI central model enhances perception efficiency using pre-trained models, semantic stitching, and knowledge distillation. It employs multi-tone dialogue separation and noise reduction algorithms to serve each passenger accurately. After deep integration with DeepSeek, the Lingyu AI central model efficiently schedules over 14 intelligent agents using a “1+N” architecture. It understands precisely and responds quickly, with a voice response delay of only 0.38 seconds. SAIC-GM-Wuling also introduced Lingxi Power 3.0 at the launch. It focuses on efficient integration and extreme performance. It achieves lower fuel consumption and stronger high-speed performance, supporting the goal of equalizing performance while promoting widespread adoption of 2L fuel consumption.
Lingxi Power 3.0 features a ten-in-one high-integration electric drive. It integrates key components like the P1 motor, P3 motor, dual motor controller module, and coupling system module. The system weight reduces by 10%. It delivers a maximum torque of over 4000 N·m. Active heating and pulse heating ensure strong and smooth power. They also enhance charging performance in cold winter conditions. In terms of electric control, Lingxi Power 3.0 uses industry-leading silicon carbide power modules. It supports seamless boost technology. Power density increases by 50%. Efficiency rises by 2%. Feed consumption decreases further. Additionally, Lingxi Power 3.0 employs efficient full-domain cascade oil cooling technology. Its innovative axial convection oil cooling design boosts heat exchange efficiency by 30%. This further enhances the continuous power of the electric drive. Lingxi Power 4.0 also officially debuted. It builds on an 800V high-voltage architecture and introduces a 12-in-one high-integration electric drive. It continuously evolves in integrated design and motor performance, aiming for 30,000 rpm at the 150,000-level performance standard. At this launch event, Baojun’s first “smart ultra-comfort flagship sedan,” the Baojun Xiangjing, officially began pre-sales. It features the upgraded Lingmu intelligent driving and Lingyu cabin. Buyers can choose between a pure electric version and a plug-in hybrid version. As Baojun’s new flagship sedan, the Baojun Xiangjing incorporates several leading electric intelligence technologies. It showcases superior capabilities in intelligence, quality, driving control, and safety.
