In the past two years, major brands have launched many high-end luxury SUVs. Domestic brands have stood out in this market. They have stirred the once stagnant high-end SUV segment, which imported brands dominated. BYD has thrived among domestic brands. Recently, its high-end brand unveiled the U8L. Now, another luxury brand under BYD, Tengshi, plans to launch the high-end luxury SUV of the 8 series after the N9. This model is the Tengshi N8L. The Tengshi N8 is an older model. The version we see now has already been discontinued. It entered the market in 2023. With the Tengshi D9 selling over 10,000 units monthly and the N9 establishing its position, the refresh of the 8 series was inevitable. Thus, the N8L shares little with the N8 beyond the name. This vehicle, positioned as a “large six-seat luxury SUV,” presents a completely new look. What new experiences will this model bring us? Appearance: Is this the “youth version” of the N9?

The car includes Yun Nian-A and the exclusive Yi San Fang technology. It boasts three-motor independent drive, dual-motor independent steering for the rear wheels, and hybrid CTB battery technology. It offers advanced features like Yi San Fang parking and inner eight stabilization. Beyond its size advantage, the core competitiveness of the Tengshi N8L lies in its “internal strength.” It benefits from BYD’s accumulated three-electric technology, Tengshi’s exclusive Yi San Fang technology, Tian Shen Zhi Yan-B, and Yun Nian-A. It also has differentiated advantages in space and detail care. Though the Tengshi N8L belongs to the “8 series,” it is not just a smaller version of the N9. As a key player in Tengshi’s strategy for the high-end new energy SUV market, the N8L ranks below the N9 within the Tengshi system. Externally, they will form a strong “twin star” combination to tackle the core high-end new energy SUV market.
