On February 12th that the official images of the new MINI Cooper petrol version have been released. The new car continues the classic family design and the domestic electric version has completed the new car declaration at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In terms of appearance, the all-new MINI Cooper is equipped with iconic circular LED headlights on both sides, with smoked black treatment on the grille, front bumper, and other areas; the taillights feature a triangular design, with hidden exhaust pipes, and the Cooper S version will have a red “S” badge on the front.
In terms of interior design, the all-new MINI Cooper has ditched the traditional dashboard layout and instead features a larger circular central screen and a multifunction steering wheel. It is expected to provide entertainment information and vehicle settings. Additionally, physical buttons and knobs are retained below the central screen, striking a balance between practicality and technology.
In terms of power, the 1.5T model has a maximum power of 154 horsepower and a maximum torque of 230N·m, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.7 seconds. The 2.0T model has a maximum power of 201 horsepower and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds. According to IT Home’s previous report, the domestically produced electric MINI completed the application to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in January of this year. It is a joint effort between BMW and Great Wall, with the applying company being Spotlight Automobile Co., Ltd.
The declared information shows that this new car continues the MINI family’s exterior design, with a body length of 3858/3863mm, a width of 1756mm, a height of 1458mm, and a wheelbase of 2526mm.
