Recently, the 2024 Global Tank Users Conference was held in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. Over 2,000 tank brand users and partners from all over the country and overseas gathered. The Tank 330 officially started delivery as the most powerful model under the Tank 300 series. It is equipped with a 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine and is priced at 330,000 yuan (45640$). The new car is based on the Tank 300 Border Limited Edition and is also the first “user co-creation” model under the Tank brand. The first batch of 1,000 units will be sold, with subsequent limited releases in batches. Let’s take a brief look at the design of the Tank 330, currently the most powerful model under the Tank 300 series.
In terms of appearance, Tank 330 inherits the family-style tough off-road style. The distinctive integrated grille incorporates the headlights and has a strong retro flavor. The difference is that the Tank 330’s hood also has raised heat dissipation holes for practical function and design. In addition, the Tank 330 comes equipped with front and rear metal bumpers, metal side guards, upper and lower control arms, and 3 chassis armor plates, giving it a more powerful and aggressive look.
The Tank 330 features a more muscular wheel arch on the side, with steel footrests to highlight its ruggedness. The dimensions are 4772/1970/1960mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2750mm and 265/70 R18 tires.
In the powertrain, the Tank 330 is equipped with a 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 260 kW and a maximum torque of 500 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle has a WLTC fuel consumption of 11.9L/100km, combined with a 48V electric motor.
In terms of off-road configuration, Tank 330 will use intelligent on-demand four-wheel drive with MLOCK mechanical locking function, capable of switching between two-wheel drive, intelligent four-wheel drive, high-speed four-wheel drive, and low-speed four-wheel drive modes, with 4L mode amplifying torque by 2.64 times and a towing capacity of 2500kg.
According to officials, Tank brand sold over 30,000 units in January-February 2024, a 146.6% increase from last year. Global sales have surpassed 390,000 units, exported to 30 countries and regions.
Since the tank brand was launched, the appearance of tank models in the modification, rescue, and off-road circles has become more frequent. At this conference, the tank’s deep ecological partners were officially announced, including Chinese shock absorber brand Coleman, off-road/rescue/automotive logistics service team Chima, winch manufacturer T-max winch, modification solution supplier Savage Offroad, and tank modification kit partner Mars. In the future, tanks will collaborate with these brands to create new models.
In addition, the tank brand announced future plans at the conference. This year, the tank brand plans to establish a camping academy and recruit a dean globally. The tank road book program will hold a cross-country event in Malaysia in April, and overseas cross-country events in the Middle East, Europe, Australia, and South America, inviting domestic users to participate. In the future, the tank brand will continue to fight for passion, strive for purity, and lead the industry’s development, carrying the flag of Chinese off-road on the world stage!
