On April 12, 2024, SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun launched the new 2024 Baojun Yueye, along with the all-new Baojun Yueye Plus. The 2024 Baojun Yueye is an upgraded version of the old model, focusing on upgrades to the interior and exterior design, color matching, and functional configuration. The new Yueye Plus can be seen as a larger five-door upgraded version of the Yueye. The combination of the two cars continues to solidify the Yueye series’ market share in the micro-car segment.
The 2024 Baoshun Yue is officially launched.
The 2024 Baojun Yueyue is positioned as a “trendy pure electric SUV”. The new car has been optimized in terms of exterior and interior design, configuration, and space, with upgrades to storage space and driving experience. The new car offers 2 configuration models for users to choose from, with prices ranging from 8.08-9.08 million yuan.
As a facelift model, the 2024 Baojun Yue continues the classic “Square Box” design concept, presenting a more recognizable “square box” shape, with prominent front and rear bumpers & wheel arches, black A-pillars & luggage racks, and an overall off-road look. The new model will also offer six color options: sunrise orange, morning green, deep space black, cloud sea white, mountain fog gray, and sunset blue.
In the front, the 2024 Baojun Yue also has a closed grille with LED headlights on both sides. The four-point LED daytime running lights are integrated into the grille, standard with LED high and low beams, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, bringing a strong new energy atmosphere. Despite being a three-door small car, the powerful temperament is still inherited, leaving a deep impression.
On the side of the body, although not a large five-door car, the high waistline and dark smoked fender flares create a tough style. In addition, the new car also upgrades to high-gloss black multi-spoke wheels, giving it a dynamic look and a unique wildness in its class. The dimensions of the body of the 2024 Baojun Yue are 3381/1685/1721mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2110mm.
In addition to the traditional roof rack, the 2024 Yueye also features a traditional door handle design, which is very tough. The rear part of the car adopts a side-opening door design, with vertical tail lights connected by black trim, echoing the front face design and having a strong overall sense.
The 2024 Baoshun Yue also continues the interior design language of the Joy Box entertainment cabin, with a large narrow-border 10.25-inch dual screen, multifunction steering wheel, and leather seats that young people love. Optional emotional interior colors in black and white, cabin materials use a large area of leather covering the high-frequency contact areas of the human body, high-grade foggy leather can be seen everywhere, and the quality of the cabin is excellent.
In terms of configuration, the 2024 BJY comes standard with automatic rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, remote control window lift with anti-pinch function, cruise control, keyless entry, and 4 speakers. For advanced configuration functions, the high-end version of the model is equipped with 6 intelligent active safety protection functions. In addition, the high-end model also features the advanced intelligent driving capability of “Lingmou Intelligent Driving”, which can easily activate intelligent driving functions for multiple scenarios and intelligent parking assistance.
In terms of space, the 2024 Baojun Yue is equipped with leather seats and 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat as standard. The seats support 5/5 split folding, enhancing the interior quality. Additional features include a central armrest box, optimized cup holders and gear shift knob position, and new seat belt buckles. In terms of storage space, the new Baojun Yue offers 17 magic cube spaces throughout the vehicle, with a front compartment and a 35L independent multi-layer storage space. The total storage volume of the vehicle reaches 715L.
In the powertrain department, the 2024 Baojun Euphoria continues to be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 50kW and a maximum torque of 140Nm, paired with a 28.1kWh lithium battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 303km according to CLTC standards. On the chassis side, the new car comes standard with MacPherson independent front suspension and a three-link integral bridge rear suspension, with a rear-wheel drive layout. Baojun Euphoria Plus officially launched.
As the “PLUS” version of the Baojun Yueyue, the Baojun Yueyue Plus has upgraded its body size, configuration, and cabin comfort on the basis of the Yueyue. The power system has also been strengthened, officially defined as a “five-door square box” pure electric SUV in the 100,000 yuan (13820$) level. The new car offers 2 configuration models for users to choose from, with a price range of 93,800-103,800 yuan (14340$).
The Baojun Yueyue Plus continues to use the classic “Square Box+” design language of the Yueyue family, still looking square and strong. The addition of off-road elements makes it look like a tough little off-road vehicle. The new car comes in 5 new colors named Mist Grey, Sea White, Sky Blue, Aurora Green, and Deep Space Black.
The front face of the Baojun Yueyue Plus is very tough, with a black glossy closed front grille and a rugged, protruding trapezoidal front bumper. The headlights are square in shape and integrated into the grille, with four-point LED daytime running lights, giving it a high level of recognition.
The overall style of the Baojun Yue Plus continues the Yue’s design. The Baojun Yue only has a three-door model on sale, while the Baojun Yue Plus is a five-door model. As a derivative version of the Baojun Yue, the biggest change in the all-new Baojun Yue Plus is the overall increase in size. Its length, width, and height reach 3996/1760/1726mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2560mm. It adopts a more practical five-door four-seater layout, further enhancing practicality and comfort. The light off-road setting allows the car to reach a ground clearance of 150mm when fully loaded, with a turning radius of 5.35m. In addition, the roof is equipped with a luggage rack, and the wheels are replaced with new gray dual five-spoke wheels.
The rear of the Baojun Yueyue Plus has removed the small backpack-style storage box design from the three-door version, added a high-mounted brake light above the rear, and added the Baojun brand logo in the center of the rear. The rest of the design remains consistent with the Yueyue, continuing the family’s four-horizontal and four-vertical layout, with classic city zebra front headlights and track-style taillights.
The cockpit of the new car continues the family-style interior, with a large number of horizontal lines stretching the visual width in the central control area. It features an independent large LCD instrument panel + floating central control screen, multifunctional three-spoke steering wheel, and rounded rectangular air vents, creating a strong sense of technology. Details such as the steering wheel and door linings have a high-end metallic panel texture. According to officials, it uses low-dispersion, odorless 3D Mesh advanced environmentally friendly materials, with a wide coverage area, achieving full leather coverage in high-frequency contact areas such as the dashboard, four door armrests, and seats.
The Baojun Euphoria Plus features a floating 10.1-inch central control screen with updated UI design. The car system supports online entertainment, navigation, voice interaction, phone connectivity, OTA upgrades, app downloads, and more. In addition, the new car also includes built-in dashcam, 360-degree panoramic imaging, and transparent chassis functions.
The Baojun Yueyue Plus not only has a larger body size, but also focuses on optimizing the comfort of the head and legs of all occupants. Standard features include independent headrests, 6-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat, and 4-way manual adjustment for the passenger seat. The maximum headroom for the front and rear rows is 1043mm and 1061mm respectively, with 913mm of legroom for the front row and 870mm for the rear row. In terms of space performance, the official statement claims that there are as many as 28 dynamic storage spaces in the car, including a nine-in-one multifunctional armrest, storage compartments for the driver and passenger, which can fully meet the daily storage needs of users.
The tailgate of the Baojun Euphoria Plus continues to use the classic side-opening tailgate design, providing 12L of storage space and the ability to expand with a small table board. The original volume of the trunk space is 385L, each rear seat can be folded down independently, expanding the maximum volume to 1715L when all seats are folded down.
In terms of power, the Baojun E300 Plus uses a single motor drive with a maximum power of 75kW, reaching a top speed of 150km/h and a pure electric range of 401km according to CLTC standards. Tianyu Architecture Released At the launch event, SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun officially introduced a new electric intelligent architecture called Tianyu Architecture. It is defined as “an automotive architecture defined by people’s needs.” One of its features is that its bandwidth can cover full-size vehicles from A00 to C segments. Tianyu Architecture enables cross-platform development, breaking through current limitations in car manufacturing. It is divided into three platforms based on different user groups’ travel needs: S platform focuses on personalized small urban mobility vehicles, M platform on mainstream midsize urban mobility vehicles, and D platform on versatile household vehicles.
