During the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the new Jetta VS5 and VS7 models were officially launched. The Jetta VS5 is positioned as a sporty German SUV priced from 8.79 to 12.19 million yuan, while the Jetta VS7 is positioned as a luxurious German five-seater SUV priced from 10.79 to 14.19 million yuan.
In terms of appearance, the all-new Jetta VS5 features a large-size borderless front grille with a diamond-shaped design and chrome elements. The grille and black bumper blend visually, complemented by slender front LED headlights. The new car is available in five body colors: Dynamic Blue, Polar White, Galaxy Grey, Manganese Black, with Manganese Black being recommended.
Arriving at the side, a strong waistline runs through the entire body, while the character lines surrounding the body visually increase the width of the car, enhancing visual tension and creating rich light and shadow levels. The overall length, width, and height of the all-new Jetta VS5 are 4418/1841/1616 millimeters respectively, with a wheelbase of 2630 millimeters, positioning it as a compact SUV.
The all-new Jetta VS5 has a strong sense of layering in its rear design. The roof end features a spoiler and high-mounted brake light. The tail lights illuminate in a “Y” shape. The “JETTA” badge replaces the traditional logo, adding a sense of luxury. The exhaust is hidden, enhancing the overall unity of the vehicle.
In terms of interior, it is still the familiar dual-screen layout, with the center console tilted towards the driver’s side and a few physical buttons below. The color-block design highlights the sporty feel, with “Y”-shaped stitching on the seats echoing the lines on the door panels, upgrading the overall interior quality. In addition, the PDC intelligent system is used, adding OPS visual parking assistance function, achieving panoramic image intelligent linkage, visual automatic activation, and more precise prompts.
The all-new Jetta VS7 has changes focused on the front end, with a grille design composed of a borderless starry sky three-dimensional lattice, which is color-matched with the body, creating a strong sense of unity. The lower bumper has also been redesigned, increasing visual width.
The familiar waistline design is still present on the side of the body, with chrome strips on the windows and lower skirts to enhance the quality. The new car measures 4624/1841/1624mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2730mm, positioning it as a mid-size SUV. The rear end has been redesigned with a through-type red reflector and hidden exhaust, making it look more coordinated and highlighting the sense of layers at the rear.
In terms of interior, the layout of the all-new Jetta VS7 and Jetta VS5 is basically the same, but the former uses higher quality materials, with added brown and black interior color scheme and suede super-fiber wrapping material, luxurious stitching craft seats, enhancing the overall high-end quality of the vehicle.
In terms of power, the all-new Jetta VS5/VS7 continues to be equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 110kW and maximum torque of 250Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and features front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension.
